It appears nowadays that almost every city has its own “smart city”. However, this is not the case. Most cities currently have, what we call, smart infrastructure where data is fed into a feedback loop to make better decisions. Smart infrastructure still acts independently from everything else, that is a gas meter on the side of a house, is just a gas meter. Sensors within a house and sensors within the gas meter know nothing about each other.
This is why at Smart City Operating System, we believe there is much more to what “Smart Cities” actually are. We believe Smart Cities are where everything (both living and machine entities) are consciously aware of each other's existence and their uses. That way, data can be shared between the two, or more entities, to create better information for other entities to create results that may be lead to increased efficiency, better sustainability, or a safer city. It is multiple feedback loops feeding into bigger feedback loops that feedback into greater feedback loops.
Smart City Operating System (scOS) is the first centralised smart city platform that can be deployed to any city and improve any sector. We use cross-sector compatibility to better communicate data and information.
No longer is smart city infrastructure acting in ignorance to the rest of the city.
