Anti-social behaviour remains the dominant force shaping Rural Hillingdon's crime profile in July 2024, accounting for 22.7% of all reported incidents. With a crime rate of 66.7 per 1,000 residents, the area's figures are 694% above the UK average of 8.4 per 1,000. This stark contrast highlights the unique challenges faced by this built-up rural community, where 137 incidents of anti-social behaviour were recorded alone. The seasonal context of July – peak summer with schools out, tourism at its height, and festivals in full swing – likely contributes to the elevated levels of disruptive activity. Other theft (21.9%) and 'other crime' (20.4%) follow closely, with both categories registering UK averages that are multiples of the national figures. The combination of transient populations drawn by seasonal events and the area's built-up character may explain these patterns, as temporary residents and visitors often bring different risk profiles. Violent crime, though lower in proportion (11.6%), still shows a 170% increase above UK averages, suggesting specific vulnerabilities in this community that require targeted attention.
