Before Owning scOS

SCOS SOUNDS COMPLICATED, IS IT EASY TO USE?

Setting up our Intelligence Hub is easy as plug and play. Just follow the included guide when you receive it.

We are designing our system so you do not have to access an app or website.

Remember, we are aiming for technology to be seamless for you and not waste your time. The complexity happens on our side and in your appropriately named "Intelligence Hub".

What do I need to get Home Intelligence?

All you need is one supported camera and our Intelligence Hub which is avilable for purchase

I ALREADY HAVE CAMERAS. WILL THEY WORK WITH SCOS?

Please check our supported devices list here. Alternatively, feel free to email or call us and we will check for you.

For techies: if they support a local RTSP stream, yes we can support them. This stream stays local and goes to your Intelligence Hub. When streaming to scOS Cloud, we use HLS Streaming, for security HLS tokens are regenerated frequently and are completely random with no sequential order. We also encrypt at rest.

I DON'T HAVE CAMERAS, WHAT DO I DO?

There are three things you can do:

  1. Check our supported device list for recommended cameras we support.
  2. Contact us to discuss the right devices for you or what you are looking for.
  3. Contact us and invite us to come and visit and install the recommended devices for you.
What devices do you support?

scOS is supposed to be a platform for all IoT devices. We are working on testing which ones we trust and support, those we support, and those we are working towards.

Find the supported device list here.

Did you know?

'Supported Devices' was initially known as 'Qualifying Devices'.

I have cameras that need installing. Can you install them?

Yes, please contact us.

Please be aware this is only for home. If you already have Home Intelligence we may be able to install them for free for you.

Using scOS

WHERE CAN I ACCESS VIDEO FOOTAGE AND OTHER DATA?

Everything that your scOS system sees is private to you and those who you allow access.

You can view all of your private data, intelligence reports and control devices in you CaelusView portal which is accessible via the web.

We will give you a link to access this.

How Does The DVLA Help Us?

On detecting a car through a CCTV camera connected to scOS computers, we’ll first compare its number plate (if it has one) to our database to see if it is one that has been seen before, loading any relevant information. If it is not, scOS computers pass the registration number to the DVLA’s Vehicle Enquiry Service. The DVLA return information on its tax and MOT status, make, colour, and whether it’s marked as stolen.

scOS computers will then cross reference this data with the CCTV footage and contact the police if it is stolen or proceed with learning why this unknown vehicle has appeared.
