Ctronics cameras offer a great combination of features and value, but their effectiveness is limited if the video feed is blurry, pixelated, or grainy. Poor image quality can prevent you from identifying faces, number plates, or other crucial details. In most cases, the problem isn't a faulty camera but rather an issue with its setup, connection, or settings.
This troubleshooting guide will walk you through the most common causes of poor video quality and how to resolve them, ensuring you get a crystal-clear picture from your Ctronics camera.
Step 1: Ensure You Are Viewing in High Definition (HD)
This is the most common and easily solved issue. To conserve bandwidth, many camera apps, including the Ctronics app, often default to showing the 'SD' (Standard Definition) stream.
- Check the Live View: Open the Ctronics app and go to the live view for your camera.
- Find the Quality Switch: On the live view screen, look for a button or icon that says "SD" or "HD".
- Select HD: Tap this button to switch the stream to "HD". You should notice an immediate and significant improvement in the video quality. This setting ensures you are viewing the camera's main, high-resolution stream.
