How to Fix Too Many Alerts from Your Laview Security Camera
A Laview security camera is an excellent tool for peace of mind, but that peace can be quickly shattered by a phone that won't stop buzzing with unnecessary notifications. When you get an alert for every car that drives by or every time a branch sways, you'll eventually start ignoring them, which could lead to missing a real event.
The good news is that you have full control over these alerts. By adjusting a few key settings in the Laview app, you can filter out the noise and ensure you only get notified when it counts.
Your Toolkit for Reducing Unwanted Notifications
All the tools you need are located within the Laview app on your smartphone. Select the camera you want to configure, then tap the settings icon (often a gear or three dots) to get started.
1. Lower the Motion Detection Sensitivity
This is the primary and most effective adjustment you can make. The sensitivity level determines how much movement is needed to trigger a recording and a notification.
- Find the Setting: In your camera's settings menu, look for an option named "Detection Alarm" or "Motion Detection."

- Find the Setting: Look for a toggle switch labelled "Humanoid Detection," "Human-Shape Detection," or "AI Detection" within the alarm settings.
- Action: Turn this feature on. When enabled, the camera will analyse motion events, and it will only send a push notification to your phone if it detects the shape of a person. This is extremely effective at filtering out alerts from pets, vehicles, and weather-related movement.
4. Create a Notification Schedule
Do you need motion alerts 24/7? A schedule lets you choose when the camera should notify you.
- Find the Setting: Look for "Notification Schedule" or "Alarm Schedule."
- Set Your Time: You can program the camera to only send you alerts during specific times. For example, you might want alerts overnight from 11 PM to 6 AM, but not during the busy afternoon when your family is home.
- Action: Set a schedule that matches your lifestyle. The camera will still record all motion events based on your sensitivity settings, but you will only be actively notified during your chosen hours.
