If your camera is either failing to capture important events or bombarding you with false alerts, a few adjustments to its settings can make a world of difference. This guide will help you diagnose and solve common motion detection issues.
### Step 1: Check the Fundamental Settings
Before adjusting for sensitivity, you must ensure the core features are enabled and configured correctly.
- Enable Motion Detection: Open the app for your camera system (e.g., Panasonic HomeHawk). Select the camera you want to configure and go into its Settings. Find the Sensor or Detection menu and ensure that Motion Detection is turned on.
- Check the Recording Schedule: Many systems allow you to set a schedule for when the camera should be active. Make sure that the schedule is set to record and send notifications for the times you are testing or expecting it to be working.
