Security for new business premises

Move in. Keep trading. We'll handle the security.

Security for new business premises, planned around your move date. We work out the order: cameras first, a Temporary Recorder while the site has no internet, then full scOS Intelligence once it's connected. For sites in England and Wales.

The scOS Intelligence Hub, a compact device that sits next to your router

Moving premises

A new site arrives in the wrong order

You get the keys. The cameras aren't up yet, and the internet provider has given you an installation date after your move.

The old lease has an end date too. Extending it costs money. Moving in before any cameras run means stock and equipment sit in an empty building overnight.

So the work is mostly sequencing: what goes in first, what covers the gap, and who does each job. That is the part we plan with you.

How it works

Four steps, in the order a move happens

  1. Cameras go in

Bring the wired IP cameras you already have, or have new ones fitted at the new site.

  2. A Temporary Recorder covers the gap

If your internet isn't ready by move day, a custom scOS Temporary Recorder can cover the site until it is.

  3. scOS Intelligence comes online

A Hub links your existing cameras to our own models, which run in the cloud. That needs a connection, so it starts once the site is online and takes over from the Temporary Recorder.

  4. Switch to your permanent line

If your first connection is a stopgap, the Hub moves onto your permanent line when it's installed.

Business Intelligence Service

What you pay for

  • Business plans from £79 a month

Standard business prices, set by the number of cameras. A new site costs the same as any other. See business pricing.

  • Hub on loan

The Hub is on loan within your subscription, with first-party setup included.

  • Every feature

Every AI feature on every plan. No premium tiers.

  • Rolling monthly

No minimum term. Rolling monthly. Cancel anytime. No cancellation fee.

  • New cameras, quoted separately

Need cameras? Contact us. With an scOS subscription, we arrange supply and fitting through our third-party installer and stay your point of contact. The installer contracts with and bills you directly for the cameras and fitting. Our installer currently covers Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. How camera installation works.

For new sites

The bonus for a site that isn't connected yet

  • Temporary Recorder cover until your internet arrives

A custom scOS recorder for the time between move day and your line going live. How it is provided is set out in your Order.

One move, start to finish

What happened for one dealership

One real move, told in order. For dealer groups, see scOS for car dealerships.

What happened once, for one car dealership in England.

  1. Day 0

The dealership was moving to much larger premises. The new site had no CCTV and no internet.

  2. Before internet

A custom scOS Temporary Recorder covered the site while it had no internet.

  3. Connectivity

A 4G dongle proved unreliable, so we sourced a Starlink dish. That brought full scOS Intelligence online and replaced the Temporary Recorder.

  4. Two weeks

Two weeks from first contact, 18 cameras were installed and running. A third-party installer fitted the cameras.

  5. Three weeks later

Fibre arrived. Staff had already moved in and kept selling, without extending the old lease.

Starlink was arranged for that project, not a standard part of the service. Your timeline depends on your site.

Pre-move checklist

What to have ready before you move

Have these to hand when we talk. None of them need to be final.

  1. Your move date, and the date the old lease ends. The plan works back from those two dates.
  2. A camera plan. List the areas that matter: entrances, parking, stock, deliveries. A rough count is enough to price it. Pricing rounds up to the next tier.
  3. Where the router will go. The Hub sits beside it and connects to your cameras over ethernet, so each camera cable needs to reach that spot or a network switch next to it.
  4. Your internet order. Ask the provider for an installation date and write it down. If it falls after your move date, that gap is what the Temporary Recorder is for.
  5. Upload speed. The service needs at least 0.5 Mbit/s of upload per camera, and no less than 2 Mbit/s in total. Watching live view from outside the site needs more on top.
  6. Stream details for any cameras you already have. Note the make and model and keep each camera's admin login to hand, so we can connect its stream. Wi-Fi cameras won't work: everything runs over ethernet.
  7. Who gets the alerts. They come to your team, so decide who receives them, including outside opening hours.

FAQ

Questions about new premises

A custom scOS Temporary Recorder can cover the site until a connection is in place. Alerts start once the site is connected. Later on, outages work the same way. If your internet drops, detection, alerts and response pause until it's back, because our models run in the cloud. If your Hub has an external hard disk, its 24/7 recording carries on locally.
