Car dealership security systems
The showroom closes. The forecourt still responds.
scOS is a UK car dealership security system for sites in England and Wales. It works with the wired IP cameras already on your forecourt, at 1080p or above. A Hub links your existing cameras to our own models, which run in the cloud. Suspicious behaviour is met with sudden light and voice, in seconds, through compatible lights and speakers on your site.

Your stock spends every night outside
A dealership keeps most of its value on an open forecourt. Out of hours, the cars stay there from closing time until the morning team unlocks.
Most business CCTV records what happens and leaves you the footage. Traditional business security often relies on people at a monitoring centre filtering alarms and deciding whether to act.
A group with two or three sites has two or three of everything: recorders, apps, logins and suppliers. Keeping track of them is a job in itself.
How it works at each site
You share camera access
We connect to the video streams your wired IP cameras already produce. We need each camera's stream details and admin login, so we can connect its stream and set it up for the service. If they run at 1080p or above, nothing on the forecourt needs to come down.
A Hub goes in by the router
A Hub links your existing cameras to our own models, which run in the cloud.
Suspicious behaviour gets a response
Suspicious behaviour is met with sudden light and voice, in seconds, through compatible lights and speakers on your site.
You ask what happened
Ask scOS Director a question in plain English. No menus, no timeline scrubbing. How Director works.
Multi-site CCTV for car dealers
One decision that covers every site
Dealer groups rarely fit cameras at every site in the same year. One site might have cameras from the original build, another from a refit, a third from whoever won the last quote.
That is fine. Each site gets its own Hub, wired to the cameras it already has over ethernet. Wired PoE or IP cameras at 1080p or above work, from brands such as Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Uniview and Reolink. Check camera compatibility.
No Wi-Fi cameras. Everything runs over ethernet.
After that, every site works the same way. The same app on iOS and Android, the same desktop portal and the same features. Adding a site later means one more Hub and one more site plan, not a new system to learn.
Different brands, side by side
We test mixed estates on purpose, because that is what most groups have.
Our founder's own test setup runs Reolink, Hikvision, Axis and Ubiquiti cameras side by side on scOS, from 1080p to 4K.

Forecourt security cameras
The forecourt, the stock and the hours after close
Someone on the forecourt at 2am
Once someone crosses onto the site, Property Line Intervention weighs what is happening, when it happens and how someone is moving. If it looks suspicious, compatible lights and speakers on the forecourt respond with sudden light and voice. How intervention works.
Rows of parked cars
Cars parked nose to tail leave plenty of places to stand. You don't draw detection zones around them. scOS looks for suspicious behaviour, not objects, so rain, headlights and animals don't trigger alerts. Some false alerts are still possible. If you switch on training contributions for a camera, expect more alerts than usual from it for up to two months while it learns.
The back of the site
Workshop doors and valet bays are often furthest from the road. Cameras there get the same attention as the front row.
The morning after
Nobody scrubs through a night of footage. Ask Director what happened at each site overnight and get a clip. Security briefings arrive through the day.
Who hears about it
scOS isn't a monitoring centre. It doesn't call the police or a keyholder. Alerts come to you.
If a site's line goes down
If your internet drops, detection, alerts and response pause until it's back, because our models run in the cloud. If your Hub has an external hard disk, its 24/7 recording carries on locally.
Lynceus in the sales office
Lynceus is a situation monitor. It shows every live camera feed on the TV or display already in your sales office, controlled with the TV remote.
It reacts to what is happening on site and draws attention to where people are, or to suspicious activity. Whoever is at the desk can see the forecourt without opening an app.
It is a dedicated display device built for continuous use. It gets stream access through the site's Hub, then plays the live streams straight from the cameras. Lynceus is an add-on, not part of the site plan. Read about Lynceus.
Priced per site
Each site has its own plan, priced by the number of cameras at that site. Business plans start at £79 a month per site. A site with 10 cameras is on the £299 business tier.
| Cameras | Price a month |
|---|---|
| Up to 4 cameras | £79 |
| Up to 6 cameras | £129 |
| Up to 8 cameras | £179 |
| Up to 12 cameras | £299 |
| Up to 16 cameras | £399 |
| Up to 24 cameras | £549 |
Pricing rounds up to the next tier. scOS is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged and there is none to reclaim. See every business tier. Pricing for homes is different: see home pricing.

What happened for one dealership
A car dealership in England moved to a larger site with no CCTV and no internet. A Temporary Recorder covered it until a Starlink dish brought it online, and two weeks from first contact, 18 cameras fitted by a third-party installer were running. That is what happened once.
Starlink was arranged for that project, not a standard part of the service. Your timeline depends on your site.

- scOS staff have no live-view access to your cameras. It's blocked in our infrastructure.
- Video frames go to our cloud for analysis and are discarded within a day. Recordings stay on your Hub, encrypted. Alert stills are kept for up to 30 days.
- Our primary cloud stores are in the UK and Ireland. Some named processors are in the US; the Data Ethics Zone lists them.
- We never sell data: no advertising partners, no data brokers.
Dealer questions
No, if they are wired PoE or IP cameras at 1080p or above. Sites can run different brands. No installation charge for cameras you already have. Need cameras? Contact us. With an scOS subscription, we arrange supply and fitting through our third-party installer and stay your point of contact. The installer contracts with and bills you directly for the cameras and fitting. Our installer currently covers Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
If your insurer requires a monitored (NSI or SSAIB) alarm, keep it. scOS can run alongside it. scOS isn't a monitoring centre. It doesn't call the police or a keyholder. Alerts come to you.

Yes, in the scOS app and desktop portal. For a screen on the wall, Lynceus shows every live feed on a TV.
Yes. We cover that on the new premises page.
scOS staff have no live-view access to your cameras. It's blocked in our infrastructure. When supporting you, staff may see alert records and their stills (kept up to 30 days). If you ask us to set up privacy masking, we sign in to the camera itself to apply it and see that camera's own live view while we do. That is done on the camera, not through scOS. More on who can see your footage.
No minimum term. Rolling monthly. Cancel anytime. No cancellation fee. Your service runs to the end of the month you've paid for. Part months aren't refunded. Return the Hub within 14 days of your service ending. If it isn't returned, there's a £156 charge.
