Where does my footage get stored?

Recordings stay on your Intelligence Hub. Only limited alert snapshots are held in our cloud, for up to 30 days.

Recorded clips are stored on your Intelligence Hub, encrypted, on a rolling basis — older recordings are overwritten as the disk fills. They are not kept as a central scOS cloud video library. Live viewing is streamed to you and is not retained by us.

We do hold limited alert snapshots in Amazon Web Services in Ireland and London (UK/EEA), for up to 30 days, so you can see recent alert history. Short-lived processing images are deleted within a day.

scOS staff cannot search, view or retrieve the recordings on your Hub. If someone asks us for that footage, we have no technical means to get it — that request goes to the person who operates the cameras at the property.

The full picture, including who else processes limited non-video data, is in the Service Privacy Policy.
